The Women’s Equality Network (WEN) Wales is an organisation funded by a range of bodies including the Welsh government, the UN’s Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women and Oxfam, with a vision to ‘make Wales free from gender discrimination’. Their work includes providing toolkits to school teachers to realise these aims.
It sounds admirable until you discover what WEN means by ‘gender discrimination’. A clue can be found in the key terms it has published in a toolkit - to celebrate International Women’s Day - which is all about men who identify as women. They define a woman as a ‘female person. This includes transwomen … as well as ciswomen’
Its toolkit also recommends the website Gal-Dem.Com as a resource for secondary school teachers to use in their schools to teach children about gender equality.
Gal-Dem is a magazine similar to Teen Vogue, which is ‘committed to telling the stories of people of colour from marginalised genders’. What this means is its homepage is full of soft porn videos involving young girls usually of colour, including one where a girl says ‘you want to fuck with me tonight Daddy’.
Here’s some screenshots from its homepage in the last few days:
And, of course, this recommended site to teach children recently stated that puberty blockers are ‘safe and reversible’, something we know is not true.
The Safe Schools Alliance is one of the few organisations fighting this kind of grooming. You can follow them on Twitter here.
Nutmeg’s Twitter feed is essential for any journalists covering this issue. You can also buy her a coffee here
Gal-Dem promoted as a teaching resource for 2ndary school teachers and youth leaders by WEN .... 🤬 Who are these clowns who think this is okay?
It’s exhausting
