In a shocking twist, Pink News have been forced to publish something true.
Notice how they frame it as “Mermaids being responsible”.
And this is fascinating.
“That organisation promotes the use of the term “minor-attracted people” rather than “paedophile” to describe those who say they are sexually attracted to children.”
What an odd thing to write. Who says they’re attracted to children? The war isn’t over yet, boys, and the only people dumb enough to say they’re attracted to children are idiot academics risen to prominece by the fraudlent branch of study known as Queer Theory.
This is another interesting bit—where they pretend that the controversy concerns the *treatment* of sex offenders.
“In 2021, he published his book Ambivalent Childhoods: Speculative Futures and the Psychic Life of the Child. At a launch for that book on Zoom, Breslow spoke about sex offenders.
“How do we sit with this category of the sex offender if that’s the thing that we’re grappling with and make sure that we’re doing so in ways that push back against the production of that figure through the carceral state?” he asked.
Nice try, guys. No, the problem is that he talked approvingly OF HAVING SEX WITH CHILDREN.
There’s one thing Pink News forgot to include in the piece, and for once, I don’t mean the fact that editor Ben Cohen is married to a Mermaids ex-trustee (not the paedophile, a different trustee).
Are you ready for this?
Jacob Breslaw is a staff writer for Pink News.
Oh, wait no, he isn’t anymore. Suddenly he’s a “GUEST AUTHOR”.
Why the demotion? Given what we know about him, and what we know about Pink News, he should be getting a raise, surely?
I think I can perhaps best sum up the possible impact of this news in one word:
"Ooof!!"
A dark dark tangled web finally dragged out into the sunlight. A lot of stunned, blinking, eye-rubbing people wondering how on earth their up-until-now protective rock has been lifted.
