One man's war against a rape crisis centre
The Morgane Oger story
You may remember we interviewed transman Aaron Kimberly about Morgane Oger’s current harassment campaign against Aaron and several other transmen including Scott Newgent.
You may also remember Vancouver Rape Relief & Women’s Shelter (VRRWS) lost the city council funding it had received for ten years thanks, in no small part, to Ogre’s influence.
In March 2019 Vancouver city councillors met to discuss the VRRWS funding. Oger led a campaign to de-fund the VRRWS and intended to stack the odds at this meeting by filling it with trans activists. He was allowed to speak and demanded that VRRWS be disqualified from receiving public funds because of its female-only policy, accusing the organization of ‘having a history of discrimination against transgender women’.
Of course, the councillors voted not to renew VRRWS’s grant.
But that still wasn’t enough for Oger and, determined to close the shelter completely, he continued to wage war against it.
When VRRWS made a statement about their loss of funding, explaining why it is vital to provide women traumatised by male violence with a female-only environment in which to heal, he described it as an ‘indignant online rant’ and accused them of prejudice.
A year later and he was still at it, writing a lengthy blog post which accused VRRWS of inciting transphobia. He applauded the decision to cut its funding and encouraged the city council to ‘remain strong and follow through’.
In August 2019 the centre’s premises were vandalized with violent threats daubed on the walls. Previously, a dead rat had been nailed to the door.
Oger described this appalling attack as an overreaction and went with the ‘they brought it on themselves’ response so beloved of abusive men everywhere. “Sometimes, unfortunately, when Vancouver Rape Relief’s policies hit mainstream media and when their discriminatory conduct hits the light of day some people overreact…”
And now it looks as if Oger has renewed his vendetta against Vancouver Rape Relief & Women’s Shelter.
Oger really can’t hide his fury when women refuse to bend the knee. Look at the way he goes after Amy Hamm, for example, with lies and groundless accusations.
Whereas serial litigant and period-obsessed paedophile, Jonathan Yaniv, seems to get a free pass.
But who does Oger blame for the havoc Yaniv caused? Feminists of course.
This is how Oger describes himself in his Twitter bio, as a ‘mom’ and a ‘female’.
For a man so determined to appropriate womanhood, he certainly doesn’t seem to have any empathy or respect for the sex he so vociferously claims as his own.
Vancouver is my home town. I have friends who have desperately needed the services and help of VRR. The endless stalking of a women’s shelter in a city where a $3.8M TRANS ONLY facility has been approved by city council, the determination to get its charitable status pulled is beyond revolting.
Any domestic abuse survivor will recognise this behaviour, it is coercive control. Men like this don't stop til they achieve complete subordination. The entire trans movement is about male coercive control of other people's minds, starting with women and children.
