Thanks for this update. The Canadian cases are stomach churning. On the other hand, in principle I can support a boy dressing up in sequins if he feels like it and it brings him joy WHILE FULLY AWARE THAT HE IS A BOY. (The Leo clip) It doesn’t change his sex and he can present any way he likes. I don’t care if a man wants to wear a frock. I do care if he wants to force me to believe he’s a woman. My nephew pranced around in a tutu aged four but completely grew out of it.
There is a huge difference in exploratory play and being a 'drag queen' with enough public exposure to be filmed and recognized. A few years ago there was way a young boy in the states whose mother was taking him to gay bars and having him dance late into the night (sorry, I haven't had my coffee yet today and do not remember the name). He was cheered on and money was thrown at him and stuffed into his clothes by grown men. I don't know if the kid featured above has gone that far yet, but I bet he has one thing in common- a narcissistic, controlling parent who is living some fantasy out via their son. It is sexual abuse and exploitation, plain and simple.
And maybe not. What is key is that the child is fully aware that he IS A BOY whatever outfit he is wearing and pronounces this loudly and clearly. And I maintain that that is a good thing and the more people hear that, the better. It's a far cry from the revolting case of Jazz Jennings whose mother asserted that her son was a GIRL from the age of three.
"Trans Day of Visibility?" Isn't _every_ day trans day of visibility? Let me know when it's _not_ trans day of visibility, and I'll turn the television back on again.

I'm deadly curious how someone "identifies" as a nurse. You ARE a nurse or you ARE NOT a nurse. Simple. It's like identifying as gay. No. You ARE gay. Identifying as using lower case name. No, you just USE a lower case name. What next?? I identify as going to make a cup of tea?? Fucking imbeciles.
Khan never misses an opportunity to 'celebrate' the trans community in London. Trans Pride, Trans Day of Visibility, Trans Day of Remembrance, Non-Binary People's Day (sigh) - there'll be a post from our Sadiq letting them know they are 'loved'. Every July I ask him why I have never seen a post from him acknowledging Disability Pride month and showing 'love' for the disabled community in London. 'Diversity' celebration in Khan's London is very selective.

Amy Hamm’s situation is so disturbing - one profession you’d really hope was completely across the importance of knowing a person’s sex is nursing, and it’s unbelievable that demonstrating such knowledge could have a nurse sacked.
The panel that made this decision should really be reflecting on whether gutless invertebrates are actually of any value in our hospital system. If anyone should be sacked med it’s that group of reality deniers are really the ones who should be being sacked, not Amy Hamm.
Another notable and ludicrous event occurred this week--a debate, on a YouTube channel called The Disagreement, between ideologues Marci, formerly Mark, Bowers (famed srs surgeon, who should also admit he thinks he's God) and left wing fundraiser, Brianna, (formerly John Walker Flyntt) Wu. This could have been named Narcissist Chess Championship, as their interruptive gamesmanship proved just how riddled with illogic the movement is.

You mention the exorcism numbers. Now, it may not being official 'priests' that are doing that. I know sub-rosa 'exorcisms' are quite popular in fundamentalist groups and I know that over in the UK there have been reported 'exorcisms' in African church groups, homosexuality being one reason for that. We have similar in the states with some of the 'pray the gay away' stuff. Stonewall didn't break this down by which groups within LGBT had been subjected to it, but I'm guessing it would be young people who were suspected of being gay. I don't know if they are exaggerating or lumping together religious rituals/beliefs and denominations, but I could see quite a few people coming from families that subjected them to these practices.

Re the ‘foundation event’ of that wretched Netflix show, the perpetrator (Sentamu) was 18 at the time of the killing, so actually an adult.
As he was from Uganda, it seems likely that he was ‘radicalised ‘ by African mores rather than some white bloke online.
