Fashionable misogyny has captured the world-renowned theatre

The woker-than-thou Shakespeare's Globe have yet to give any adequate reason as to why they removed half their provision of single-sex toilets over the summer, despite overwhelming evidence that the majority of people don't want them.

I see @The_Globe have changed their loos in the name of "inclusivity," never mind that they're excluding women who are vulnerable in enclosed spaces with men, people who don't know what this symbol means, and Muslim women who can't use the same toilets as men. @StandingforXX

@The_Globe Thank you for your response. Unfortunately it only raises more concerns. 1) Your previous mixed-sex provision was disabled toilets. I don't think you can claim this as a significant number of specifically mixed-sex to back up your argument.

@BethReid93 @CCriadoPerez Hi Beth, for several years we have had female, male, and all-gender toilets on site at the Globe. We have recently increased the number of all-gender toilets so that all our visitors feel comfortable using our facilities, and have the added bonus of shorter queues. (cont)

In October, they began hosting a series of self-congratulatory lectures called 'Anti-Racist Shakespeare', with presumably no mention of the profound racism of denying Muslim women single-sex spaces.

In other Twitter antics, they deleted their tweet praising a vile (and badly-written) poem inspired by their non-binary Joan of Arc which called women 'bitches'. They did not offer an apology.

They also haven't apologised for this egregiously offensive page in the show's programme, which does a huge disservice to the bravery and strength of detransitioners (and anyone else who has ever found the courage to leave a cult).

Still, we have it on good authority that the Globe, which is a charity, has made a loss of around £1.4 million this year. This comes after they received a Covid recovery grant of £3 million - they wasted a third of the public's money trying to tell us that Joan of Arc and Elizabeth I were not women. Money well spent!
