I’m sure most of you are aware that Allison Bailey is taking on Stonewall (and her employers) in a mammoth 20-day-long employment tribunal, starting this Monday.
Allison: “I am a barrister and I helped to set up a new organisation for lesbian, gay and bisexual people, the LGB Alliance, to provide an alternative to Stonewall. In retaliation, Stonewall had me investigated by my chambers, in an attempt to cost me my livelihood.”
The looking glass madness of the gender debate never fails to amaze me. But the preeminent LGB charity colluding in getting a lesbian woman investigated by her employer for campaining for LGB rights still shocks even me. She must win, but firstly, she must be fully funded.
Allison: “I have assumed responsibility for paying these legal costs, as all of us who crowdfund do. It is an act of faith. I trust there remains huge support for me and for this action, but I will not lie to you, being liable for legal costs of over half a million pounds, win or lose, is a heavy burden. There really is no contribution that is too small. For those people that cannot contribute, you can help me by promoting my crowdfund.”
Ben Cooper cross-examining Stonewall is about to provide us with weeks of pleasure. And a man named Morgan Page is about to become very famous indeed.
Her crowdfunder will be open for the duration of the trial. Donate what you can here and spread the word.
Donated. We women here in NZ are looking at what is happening in the UK, because it’s happening here, too. One day, we also will have court cases, and will look to the UK to see what has and hasn’t been won there, and how.
I have previously donated and have just done so again. Every battle that the brave are willing to take on must be fought.
