My partner and I just flew back from Denver and were delighted to see series one of the IT Crowd on board. We watched the whole lot (again) laughing our heads off at such brilliance!
For me, the IT Crowd is the sitcom of the decade, it is my absolute favourite. The one where "Jen goes on a date" is just about the funniest episode of any sitcom ever!
The awfulness of that experience, Graham, my heart goes out to you. This person is a small and evil maggot, who will soon be back in obscurity. (Ps, love the pic! 😂)
It is very difficult to fathom the obsessive motivation of such a person other than to categorise it as a kind of narcissistic hysteria which feeds on itself - with a fervour reminiscent of witch trials. You are going into battle with fanaticism, armed only with the truth; such an incredible irony when the objective reality itself becomes blasphemous!! But that must take an enormous toll on you - I know that it makes me rage incoherently just at the thought of it, so you must know how grateful we all are that you continue to fight. All we can do is if continue to fund and send stout wishes of solidarity - appeal away!!!!!!
I suspect that to not be very annoyed in these circumstances you'd have to be a psychopath as in "They registered Lecter's temperature and pulse the day they found the first victim, and his heart rate never went above eighty bpm."

Nah, you're not; I do too. It was chilling and very familiar. Textbook from a young man dedicated in what he is doing and with very little restraining him. No internal anything cautioning him and holding himself back. The total delusional self-righteous and very socialised male behaviours of a very particular type. The worried and stunned looks exchanged as one of them disrupts yet another event, seeks yet ever more attention. The way these combustible men need to be carefully handled like fireworks as they target and bait others then like clockwork claim victimisation as they engineer combustions. The proof is there and it shocks me how so few appear to connect all this together. It's how this movement became known and shown to so many - lists and footage online of what these men and their acolytes do. Brazenly and in public. As they all shapeshift, dissemble and use the anonymous online world they created and make it deliberately hard to track them and their actions with their slippery IDs and pretendy characters for when it suits - like being chased by the law. Or getting in where they shouldn't and are not allowed. They get off on it. There are well-known other types of criminals who use these tactics and for exactly the same reasons, but of course we can't possibly draw those very obvious parallels.
I've been at some events and only very large numbers of security and a physical presence stops men like this. Then they band together in their little secretive groups and are outraged again and disrupt us going about our lives again and again. It's really concerning in ones so young.
I don't think there has ever been a lone voice-in-the-wilderness that will be proven by history to have been as thoroughly prescient, gutsy and vindicated as yours, Graham Linehan. Not bad for a bloke who just wanted to spend his life making people laugh.
