Our first live Mess was a roaring success!
We gussied ourselves up for our first live Mess We’re In and had a wonderful, shambolic night. Rosie Kay was our guest and spoke compellingly about cults, mind control and the difficulty of directing dancers when one of them insists on being called ‘they’. Thanks to the 100 Club for their hospitality and look out for the full video, coming soon!
It was a packed house, and the biggest, most sustained applause of the night came for Posie Parker’s bravery in the face of terrifying attacks from violent trans rights activists. I think I can speak for all of us in dedicating this first show to her and the other courageous women she’s empowering to speak. I am astonished at rumours that some are undermining her from the safety of a gun-free UK.
Get home safely, Posie.

Another victory
Teresa not only got her operation but secured a single-sex ward for herself and says she has the “utmost confidence” in her nursing and surgical team. Single-sex spaces were already her legal right, and she should not have had to fight for them, but congratulations to all parties nonetheless for a great result.
Too dumb for Twitter, but not for The Scottish Parliament
Finally, realising she was looking increasingly absurd, she deleted the tweet, but the bad news is that a motion based on the same nonsense is going ahead in the Scottish Parliament! Durrrr!
A mentally-ill, self-hating straight woman who thinks she’s a gay man
Read the T-shirt.
The fall-out from these years will be terrible to see. How can anyone support this sick movement?
Botox Chucky is also a racist!
He’s talking about The Observer’s Sonia Sodha. ”Desperate to belong”.
Let’s have a look at what ‘desperate to belong’ really looks like.
Labour suddenly remembers Muslims exist
Do they think we won’t notice they’re simultaneously trying to destroy single-sex spaces; spaces from which Muslim women will be forced to self-exclude?
“I’m all right, Jack”
Or “My pal in Primrose Hill is nice, therefore EVERYONE is nice” tell that to the women who’ve written to me saying they can’t use Scottish rape crisis services because they admit men. I am sick to death of these celebrity handmaidens throwing less privileged women under the bus in this way.
Well done Glinner, you all look fabulous!
Erm, Lucy Beaumont, what? If your friend is a feminist as you so claim, that person should understand the need for single-sex intimate spaces for women. Or does their feminism not extend to women?
It was the most brilliant night (and thankfully the giant baubles waited til the following evening to escape down the street!) with such a diverse crowd, really heartening to see. Thank you too for acknowledging KJK as you did, she fights as you have - uniquely bringing what you do best to the party, and there is space for all of us (one common cause, many cat skinning ways). The grassroots support and impact you both have had is nothing short of incredible.
So I chatted with some truly lovely people (including Beau? the fab DJ), got very drunk, danced like a loony and came home with a new t/shirt. Keep it special but I reckon you absolutely must do it again. Same time next year? Much love and thanks 😘.
