Why the issue with the ACLU receiving its fair share of blame? They have made a 180 in their approach to free speech, and have entirely lost the plot in their full-throated defense of - for example - rapists in women's prisons in particular - and unquestionably pro trans in general. I used to make monthly donations - when I was a poor grad student - but until and / or if they realize they've become a poor shell of what they were - they deserve plenty of criticism and none of my money.

How is it "point scoring" to refer to the American Civil Liberties Union's success at getting men into women's sports, women's prisions, &c. ? It is to the transing of America as Stonewall was/is to the transing of the UK.
When the ACLU decided that men's rights, which they have always had and more often than notvtake for granted, trump women's rights that they fought for over 100 years to get, it deserves every kicking coming its way and more. The ACLU is all about virtue signalling rather than what it was set up to do and should be disbanded. In the UK, we hace the Good Law Project, which does not do what it says on the tin but rather makes a mockery of good law in the UK. Transwomen are not vulnerable little flowers but males who, in the main, want to dominate women because they have not been seen as the "great men they are" by their peers. Pathetic. Inadequate. And definitely not women.
