A Week in the War on Women: Monday 19th September - Sunday 25th September GOOD NEWS SUPPLEMENT
Hello and welcome to another very positive week on the gender beat. Here are just a few of the good news stories. Enjoy!

We wish her every success with this case.
World Rugby Tackles Legal Threats
World Rugby is standing firm and will not be intimidated into a backtrack on its ‘transgender policy’.
Despite the threat of legal action, World Rugby Chief Executive, Alan Gilpin, insists that women’s rugby will remain female-only. “The safety of the players is the number one priority of the sport”, he said.
Wooden Spoon For Scotland
And speaking of rugby, Scottish Rugby is under great pressure to follow the example of England, Ireland and Wales and bar trans-identified males from the women’s game.

Tonia Antoniazzi, a Labour MP and former women's rugby player with nine caps for Wales, told The Telegraph, “The fact that there are trans women in Scotland playing women’s rugby I find absolutely appalling. It should not be happening… They need to come to a decision - based on fairness and safety of women and girls in sport - and soon.”
This story made it into the Mail Online, too.
Pointing To The Naked Emperor
Elsewhere in politics another indomitable female MP has been speaking out. Miriam Cates, Conservative MP for Penistone and Stocksbridge in South Yorkshire, hit out at the ruling of an employment tribunal that an NHS manager discriminated against a trans-identified male when she questioned him about displaying his genitals in the women’s changing room.

Cates called the implications of this ruling ‘deeply worrying’ and has written to the chief executive of the hospitals trust about the possibility of an appeal.
Smelling The Coffee
The number of British people who are in favour of trans people being able to change the sex marker on their birth certificate has fallen sharply in the last two years.

“The British Social Attitudes (BSA) survey found that 39 per cent of people were now opposed to the idea. The proportion supporting the idea has dropped by 21 points in two years, from 53 per cent to only 32 per cent.”
It sounds like the era of ‘no debate’ is over and the public is starting to understand the implications of gender identity ideology.
The People Have Spoken
RTÉ, Ireland’s national broadcaster, received only nine formal complaints over its ‘controversial’ Liveline programmes on transgender issues which were broadcast earlier this year.
RTÉ’s head of editorial standards, Brian Dowling, wrote to an Oireachtas joint committee on media about the Liveline broadcasts. He said, “RTÉ received approximately 110 contacts (emails and phone calls) regarding the three programmes and around two-thirds were positive and one-third negative. RTÉ responded comprehensively to nine formal complaints”.
Goodbye, Mr Tits
Pupils and parents turned out in force to protest the blimp-boobed teacher at Oakville Trafalgar High School.

(For more information on You My Sister and the work they do supporting women escaping the sex industry, see their website.)
The rainbow flag should not be part of that BSA survey article - IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE LGB.
Absolutely essential viewing from Barry who is another gay man in this fight.
