A handful of the good news stories from the gender beat this week. Enjoy!
On The Reading List
Sharron Davies’ book, Unfair Play The Battle For Women’s Sport, is due to be released on 22nd June. “This book provides the facts, science and arguments that will help women in sport get the justice they deserve.”
You can pre-order it from Amazon here.
Trans Widows In The House
A cross-party group of MPs and peers met not only with campaign group, Trans Widows Voices, but also with Children of Transitioners.
That their voices are being heard in Westminster certainly seems like progress.
Are The Chickens Coming Home To Roost?
The Tavistock Clinic has been threatened with court action in light of its continued refusal to provide information about its relationship with Mermaids.
A concerned parent made a Freedom of Information request regarding the relationship between Mermaids and the Tavistock. However, the clinic has failed to provide the required information claiming that it ‘does not hold’ these emails and minutes of meetings.
The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has now ruled that ‘on the balance of probabilities’ the Tavistock does have relevant emails and stated that “The Trust must conduct fresh searches into the requested information and provide a new response which is adequate for the purposes of FOIA.”
The Tavistock was given until 5th May to comply with this order. Failure to do so means that the ICO could write to the High Court and the issue “May be dealt with as a contempt of court”.

Leaving Them Kids Alone
Louisiana became the latest in an ever-burgeoning list of US states determined to ban the medicalisation of gender-confused children.
A new bill that would prohibit doctors from providing puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones or any form of ‘gender reassignment surgery’ to anyone under the age of 18 in Louisiana passed the committee stage this week, receiving bipartisan support. It will now advance to the House.
UCI Backpedalling
Following Austin Killips’ ‘victory’ in a women’s cycling event last week, Cycling’s governing body, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), is starting to realise just how very unpopular its ‘trans inclusive’ policy is.
Signalling a ‘notable change in tone’ over this issue, the UCI has (finally!) acknowledged the concerns of female cyclists regarding unfair competition.
The UCI made a statement on Thursday that its management committee has discussed transgender participation in elite cycling and will reopen its consultation before taking a decision in August.
Victor(y) On Terf Island
Victor Madrigal-Borloz is the UN Independent Expert on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity. A fervent adherent to gender ideology and famously deaf to those who oppose it, he had a rude awakening while visiting the UK this week.
Madrigal-Borloz met with Kate Harris from LGB Alliance, Dennis Kavanagh from the Gay Men's Network and Paula Boulton from Lesbian Labour. They told him some home truths about the harms of gender ideology on the rights of same-sex attracted.
He also met with Maya Forstater from Sex Matters, Fiona McAnena from Fair Play for Women, Tanya Carter from Safe Schools Alliance, Lynne from the Labour Women's Declaration and representatives from For Women Scotland.
Sorry, Victor, we don’t do ‘no debate’ on Terf Island!
Women Won’t Éist Do Bhéal
Over in Ireland, women were also making their voices heard this week. Women’s Space Ireland held a protest at the opening of Limerick Prison’s new wing.
They challenged Justice Minister, Simon Harris, about the housing of trans-identified male inmates in the female estate.
And their protest made the papers.
Date For Your Diary
Women Won’t Wheesht are organising an event in Glasgow on Sunday 21st May.
If you’re able, do join them at Speaker’s Corner in Glasgow (by the Mary Barbour statue) from 1pm and have your say!
JHB v LRM
Watch Julia Hartley-Brewer hand Lloyd Russell-Moyle his own arse on a plate when he appeared on Talk TV this week.
“You’re just making things up… Is anyone who disagrees with you nasty?”
One of the most destructive consequences of ‘gender’ ideology? Alongside legions of bewildered children and damaged young people — we’ve lost any hope of fair political representation. It’s gone up in the smoke of the ‘gender’ war. ‘Gender’ loons of the left have handed over any real democratic choice to to the ultra-right wing loons. Now we have the likes of Marjorie Taylor Green in America, a woman who cheered on January 6 crimes, gaining acclaim for standing up for biological reality. It’s scary. The rotten reach of 'gender' ideology is almost beyond comprehension.
Ah thanks for GNS as ever, JL. Such a relief 😎
Loved Yorkshire white rose 😀
I went back to Python’s 5 minute argument in an otherwise heavy duty post last night!
The amazing thing about the Tavistock’s denial of the existence of e-mails is that e-mails are mentioned In Hannah Barnes’ Time to Think’!! Presumably the Tavistock haven’t bothered to read that?
Will cross post later 😎
Thanks again
