Monday 21st December - Even A List Of Women Isn’t Just For Women
THE TIMES: The paper’s 50 Women of the Year list was published.
It included three males.
The first was Valentina Sampaio, a transgender model from Brazil who has posed for Victoria Secret and featured in Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue.
The second was High Court judge, Victoria McCloud, who transitioned in the late 1990s. In 2010 McCloud was hailed as only the second ever woman to become Queen’s Bench Master. Though, of course, he wasn’t.
The third trans-identified male on the list was Raquel Willis, a black trans rights activist and writer from the US. Willis is the Director of Communications for the Ms. Foundation, an organisation intended to amplify the voices of women and girls.
Tuesday 22nd December - Has Auntie Been at the Christmas Sherry?
Despite assurances of impartiality from its Director General, this BBC article about puberty blockers demonstrates a very obvious agenda.
In discussing children who identify as trans, the article implies that anything other than total affirmation and the prescribing of hormone blockers will lead to suicidal depression. This is not only hugely irresponsible, it is dishonest. According to GIDS’ own website, links should not be made between patients and suicidality. It is very rare for children referred to the service to attempt self-harm or suicide.
The article erroneously describes puberty blockers as "a temporary pause", choosing to ignore all the mounting evidence, including the Tavistock’s own recently published paper, that they can adversely affect bone density and almost always lead to full transition.
Furthermore, it quotes GenderGP, a private clinic founded by Helen Webberley, the doctor who was found guilty of operating the clinic illegally and suspended by the General Medical Council. GenderGP is also involved in a dodgy offshore operation selling hormones online. The BBC should be investigating this outfit, not quoting it.
Following a proper drubbing in The Spectator courtesy of James Kirkup and an open letter of objection from a group of doctors, the BBC had to amend this piece and add a clarification about GenderGP. However, the majority of the text remains unaltered.
The article was written by Ben Hunte, BBC News’ LGBT Correspondent. He has been accused of bias when reporting on issues of gender identity in the past.
And last year he hosted Stonewall’s annual Equality Dinner.
Wednesday 23rd December - What’s The Appeal In Transing Kids?
The Good Law Project held the first meeting of its “Advisory Group to the Legal Defence Fund of Transgender Lives”.
The Good Law Project was founded by barrister, Jolyon Maugham QC, who has been a very vocal advocate of prescription puberty blockers. The project recently set up its Legal Defence Fund for Transgender Lives and crowd-funded over £100K.
The first meeting of the fund’s advisory board decided its priority is to “Intervene” in the Tavistock’s possible appeal against the Keira Bell judgment. (In legal terms an ‘intervention’ is a procedure in which the court may allow a third party or group, not involved in the original lawsuit, to become an interested party.)
Apparently, this intervention will be made on behalf of a small group of non-governmental organisations which have yet to be disclosed. (Now who could they be...?) The Tavistock is to be “compelled” to review its position on parental consent, ie the policy that parental consent isn’t sufficient for the prescribing of blockers and that only the consent of the child patient is allowable.
The Good Law Project statement makes clear that, “Success on this action would remove, in many or most cases, the practical barrier to treatment posed by the Bell decision”.
And if that doesn’t chill you to the bone, have a look at some members of this “Advisory group”.
CN “They/Them” Lester, a trans activist, writer and performer, co-founder of the “UK's first national queer youth organisation” and author of Trans Like Me.
Sabah “They/Them” Choudrey who works for Gendered Intelligence.
Alex Sharpe, a trans-identified male and vociferous trans activist. When rapist, “Karen White”, assaulted a number of women prisoners, Sharpe wrote an article defending the housing of trans identified males in the female estate.
Mridrul Madhwa, a trans-identified male who concealed his true sex to obtain employment at a rape crisis centre and took up a place on an all-women shortlist.
No wonder Jolyon Maugham was so shy about revealing who’s in the driving seat.
Thursday 24th December - Oxford Council Votes Against Reality
BBC NEWS: South Oxfordshire District Council voted on a motion, “Recognising difficulties faced by trans people”.
Part of the motion involved a policy ensuring that all council properties have at least one gender neutral toilet. Whilst the provision of such bathrooms may be laudable, there is no assurance that existing female facilities will not be sacrificed to provide them.
Furthermore, the motion was also passed that the council respects that "Trans men are men, trans women are women, and that non-binary genders are just as valid".
Friday 25th December - Oh Have A Day Off, Lads
Even on Christmas Day Pink News couldn’t resist peddling its misogynistic bile and tweeted a lame and acerbic impersonation of JK Rowling by Tik-Tok attention-bawd, Mary-Alice Farina.
Saturday 26th December - The Extinction of Lesbians
THE TELEGRAPH: An interview with the founders of the LGB Alliance, Kate Harris and Bev Jackson.
The LGB Alliance was set up in 2019 in response to growing concerns that Stonewall is focused only on promoting gender identity ideology and has abandoned those same-sex attracted.
Harris and Jackson are concerned about the all-pervading culture of “Transing out the gay” in gender non-conforming kids, particularly children who are gay, lesbian or autistic. They worry about the rapid rise in youngsters seeking to change their sex.
“Is lesbianism going to become extinct? Yes. It's deeply uncool. At school, in university, it is so uncommon, it is the bottom of the heap. Becoming trans is now considered the brave option… Google LGBT charities and you will find hundreds. But LGB? None.”
There have been innumerable attempts to smear, silence and defund the LGB Alliance. Its challenging of gender identity ideology and its defence of women’s rights have led to accusations of transphobia. Opponents, such as SNP MP John Nicolson, have even tried to brand the LGB Alliance a ‘hate group’ and created spurious rumours that it has links to far right organisations.
Of course, such allegations are wholly groundless and vehemently denied. But it speaks volumes about just how desperate gender ideologues are to discredit those who refuse to bow down at their altar.
Speaking of which…
Sunday 27th December - Brave & Stunning
A Twitter trans activist has spent their Christmas holiday trawling through the LGB Alliance funding page, determined to “Name and shame” those who’ve donated.
This (ironically) anonymous Twitter user is also threatening jobs and livelihoods and apparently intends to cyber-stalk donors in the hope of nobbling future careers. (For donating to a charity which protects the rights of lesbian, gay and bisexual people.)
See you next year.
What a year in the war on women... thanks for reporting. It is chilling.
Let’s hope and fight for 2021 to be the showdown it should be.
Brilliant round up as always. I have high hopes for 2021. There’s something in the air I think.
