Monday 28th September - What Could Possibly Go Wrong?
Over the weekend California Governor, Gavin Newsom, signed a law requiring the state to accommodate transgender inmates in prisons based not on their sex but on their gender identity.
Under the new law, inmates will be asked privately during the intake process if they identify as transgender, nonbinary or intersex and they can request their choice of male or female facilities. Such requests cannot be denied solely because of an inmate’s anatomy or because of “a factor present” among other prisoners. So intact males can be housed with vulnerable female prisoners, even if those women protest.
Appropriately, the bill was authored by San Francisco’s Senator Scott Wiener (pictured below). He said, “It's just a false narrative about transgender people and about transgender women in particular that they're somehow not really women and are just trying to scam their way into women's bathrooms or facilities in order to do bad things.”
Looks like Senator Wiener has never heard of Karen White or Katie Dolatowski or Jessica Winfield or Tara Desousa or Janiah Monroe or Kristen Lukess or Lisa Huaxwell or Laken McKay or Aliea Rose Brown or Paula Witherspoon or Davina Ayrton or Johanna Wolf or Marie Dean…
Tuesday 29th September - Clocks Strike Thirteen at the Lib Dem Conference
The Liberal Democrats held their online Autumn conference this week. A motion was passed supporting trans and non-binary people.
Of course, all reasonable people would want to uphold the rights and protections of trans and gender non conforming people. However, the Lib Dems want to enforce compelled speech and a belief in anti-science ideology: “Conference believes that: Trans women are women, trans men are men and non-binary identities are non-binary.”
Furthermore, debate on this issue is being stifled. Writing in Unherd, Debbie Hayton explains that a group of thirteen party members objected to the imposition of this unscientific doctrine on the conference. They submitted a request for a separate vote on the “Trans women are women” clause, arguing that it’s possible to support trans people without being forced to believe something that isn’t true.
However, the request was quashed by Liberal Democrat Federal Conference Committee. The group of dissenters were told, “The clause was a central part of the motion and the principle underpinning much of what it called for. A separate vote was — in the opinion of the FCC — tantamount to a vote against the motion.”
Wednesday 30th September - Giving Birth; It’s Not Just For Women
Birth Becomes Her is an online forum that “Celebrates the singular experience of birth through educational resources, empowering imagery, and a positive and uplifting community”.
It has just changed its name to Birth Becomes You because, “So many people who give birth don’t identify as female… Birth isn't something that only women experience”.
All very woke and inclusive. But there’s one big problem with erasing women from the most female experience there is; pretending pregnancy and birth affect men will mean men just keep getting to make all the laws and policies about them.
Thursday 1st October - The Ongoing Saga of Labour Losing Women
The Labour Party published an article about the Equality Act 2010.
“Here are eight things you should know about the Equality Act 2010 and how it can protect you and the people important to you.”
The article explains that nobody can be discriminated against due to race, colour, ethnic origin, faith, age, sexual orientation, nationality, disability or gender reassignment.
It doesn’t mention sex being a protected characteristic, though. Important to be aware of that if “You and the people important to you” happen to be women.
The article was written by Marsha De Cordova, Labour MP for Battersea and Shadow Secretary of State for Women and Equalities. (Somebody should remind her of her job title.)
Friday 2nd October - The Law Society & Gender Bending the Rules
A few months ago we reported on a trans lobby group called Global Butterflies which is targeting the legal profession. This article, from legal community website, Roll on Friday, suggests that their ideological indoctrination is well underway.
The Law Society is promoting a policy to law firms which will effectively erase female-only spaces and ignores women’s legal protections. The 'Transition and Change to Gender Expression’ template was written by the Law Society's LGBT+ Committee but “Published and promoted to law firms without wider consultation of Law Society members”.
This template allows employees to ‘self identify’ their gender, no need for any physical alteration or medical treatment, and to use whichever facilities they prefer. Furthermore, it defines transphobia as the "Denial of or refusal to accept a trans person’s gender identity". So an intact male must be viewed as female if he says he is and women complaining about him using their spaces etc risk being formally reprimanded (or worse) and having a complaint of transphobia on their record.
More disturbingly, this template not only dismisses the protected characteristic of sex, it claims that the Equality Act 2010 and the Gender Recognition Act 2004 “Fall short in protecting and assisting the trans and non-binary community" and states that, "We intend to exceed these pieces of legislation, e.g. by recognising all gender identities".
So the Law Society, the very organisation that represents and governs solicitors, is promoting a policy to ignore or even contravene existing legislation in order to rob women of their legal rights and spaces. How on earth are they getting away with this?
Saturday 3rd October - Jenni Murray Spills the Beans on Auntie Beeb
DAILY MAIL: Having retired from her role on Woman’s Hour after 33 years, Dame Jenni Murray talked about being censured by the BBC for challenging trans rhetoric.
The trouble began after Murray wrote an article for The Times.
“I made clear that I was not transphobic or anti-trans… I merely asked the trans activists to acknowledge the difference between sex and gender, a trans woman and a woman, respect our right to safe single-sex spaces and abandon the nonsensical idea that we should be known as ‘cis women’.
We are women. No need for further definition. I begged trans activists to understand feminism and the struggle we had experienced in fighting for our right to be viewed as equals to men.”
As we have come to expect, following the publication of that article, Murray was attacked on social media, branded a “TERF” and there were demands for her to be sacked… the usual MO of the Gender Stasi.
However, she was shocked by the BBC’s response.
“I was roundly ticked off publicly and informed that I would not be allowed to chair any discussions on the trans question or the proposed changes to the Gender Recognition Act. I had lots of emails and tweets asking me why I had not been involved in this debate, as it was so important to Woman’s Hour listeners. You have the answer.”
The national broadcaster forbad one of its most senior female presenters from discussing the most vital issue concerning women’s rights because she displeased the trans lobby. Under his eye.
Sunday 4th October - Interview with Keira Bell
THE SUNDAY TIMES: Sian Griffiths interviewed Keira Bell just days ahead of a court case that could make history.
Keira Bell was just a child when she began questioning her gender identity. At 14 years old she sought help from the Tavistock and Portman trust which runs GIDS, the NHS’s gender identity clinic.
She had only five appointments before being prescribed hormone blockers to suppress her natural puberty. They induced an artificial menopause. At 17 she was prescribed testosterone to develop male sexual characteristics. Her voice dropped, she developed facial hair and her reproductive organs changed. At 18 she was referred to the adult gender clinic and soon after had a double mastectomy.
Now 23 and detransitioning, Keira Bell is taking legal action against the clinic in a test case this week that challenges the prescribing of hormone blockers to children.
She is joined in this action by a woman who wishes to maintain her family’s anonymity. Mrs A’s teenage daughter is autistic, has a range of mental health problems and is currently waiting for treatment at the Tavistock.
For more information about the case and to make a contribution to the legal fees, please see the Crowdjustice page.
The number of children, particularly young girls, seeking the help of the Tavistock has rocketed in the past decade. Meanwhile, more detransitioners are coming forward to tell their story of being pushed down a pathway to hormones and surgery. And earlier this week it emerged that staff at the Tavistock & Portman have been expressing concerns about patient care for 15 years.
This case has been a long time coming.
See you next week.
About Men giving birth to kids , yeah let them try the labour pains for a change. Huh....
1. Gender identified inmates.
2. Men giving birth
3. Women forced to leave their livelihood and being silenced
If it wasn't for Forscot women, Women Uniting, Emma Nicholson, Graham Linehan, JK Rowling, Dr.Jane Claire Jones and such great Warriors despite Liz Truss's announcement, we are doomed.
Since the announcement, the backlash has been relentless and massive , have You observed JL, that each blue tick organisation is coming up as woke, especially the one with the word "Women" and "Biology" in them.
I know this will sound bloody childish, but I remember a scene from order of Phoenix, fudge and Lucius Malfoy exchanging gold. I imagine stonewall & Mermaid doing that with all the big shots and corporates.
Awesome Article JL.
You know I Always wondered why Jenny dint step up for that Woman's Hour show, but then this is how the Trans Activists or Gender Ideologists/ extremists are either Frightening everyone into silence or removing them from their rightful position of authority.
No surprises we don't have the support either financially or the manpower.
