A place for women
Maybe I shouldn’t open with videos but this was a fun one. Save for when you have a moment.
This is insanity
Why can only a few of us see it? And if others can see it, why aren’t they with us fighting it?
Never let these people forget
7000 people signed this reckless shite. It’s borderline criminal. Joanne Harris, have you completely lost your mind?
This is so annoying
I had a reason to Google the story behind this famous Star Wars moment and this is what the internet coughed into my lap. Have a read of it before reading on.
Ok, oh, my God, why do we take these people seriously? What the fuck does it matter where Ford saw the line? The genius of the line, of the whole exchange, and Ford’s achievement if he did improvise it/remember it, is that he deployed it at exactly the right time, in exactly the right scene, at exactly the right moment. It does not matter where he found the line. He could have taken it from a porno movie and it would still be great.
These idiots have no idea how art is created or how to value it.
The Smiths are back!

Love the guy with the pink beard.

Uh-oh! It’s that time again!
In which today’s cowardy custard admits being wrong and yet still digs in. JK Rowling brings out the most extraordinary behaviour in people.
The Spirit of Magdalen is strong in this one!
You tell ‘em, kid.
Re "The spirit of Magdalen is strong in this one." She's quite good. You have something there. Magdalen can't be replaced but we do need more people who can think quickly on their feet and intellectually zap it to the people spewing this nonsense.
Your interview with Sall Grover is great. Unfortunately, I can't sign up as have no iPhone, just an old flip top. Soon that will be outmoded and I will have to get one. App doesn't work with iMac. Unfortunately that is happening more and more. Makes me wonder if the desktop itself may become extinct for regular computer users.
