Fascinating. Heather BE is amazing to listen to... sets it all out so clearly for those is us who are not of that intellectual world. Thanks for posting.
Very Very interesting podcast / video indeed. Quite a perspective to consider, when it comes to how Queer theory originated, took its root and became the new normal. Now this sounds like the real "Mess we are in ". Progressive Queer theory .
That was properly riveting thanks both of you. I’m so glad the "inter-generational sex" thing was addressed ... I felt really uneasy when Foucault's ideas were endorsed. Queer theorists really believed kids (down to how young? Toddlers?) have agency and the ability to consent? For me that made Foucault safely ignorable so it was interesting to learn some of his philosophy is sound. And the way it’s been turned inside-out.
Thank you Graham and Heather. This was so informative. Heather explains queer theory, and it’s relationship to trans ideology, so succinctly for the lay person (and what a lovely voice she has). I’ve just ordered her book to find out more.
