And these swine are motivated by what? An adherence to a sect founded on giving men the licence to appropriate all of women’s rights, and falsify a man’s sex so he can claim to be a lesbian. Sheer bullying nastiness, focussed as you say against the people who actually did all the work to uphold and promote the right of humans to love someone of their own sex.

And then there's also the motivation for these sickos to keep children in a permanent state of prepubescence. Can't forget that one. Yuck.

Incel types who hate woman. It's time we took a juggernaut and rammed the T, and all the nonsense that comes after it, away from the LGB. They have nothing to do with each other. T+bla is a toxic political violent deranged misogynistic movement. It needs to be destroyed.

Agreed- most of the TIQA+++ etc are heterosexual- particularly the idiots claiming to be non-binary

This is so exactly what it is! The cultists hate everyone who says no to them!

Except the body isnt irrelevant... Because if it was, men wouldnt get breast implants and take cross sex hormones and would never want to make holes in their bodies where no holes should be. They say gender is everything but they dont mean it. The same with the bodies.

It is about power... In the same way r*pe isn't about sex, but a man's power over another human being whether male or female. Because he can. It's because they can and they are allowed to. Just like some parents think they have to give in to their children when they scream and kick their feet in the floor, governments and public bodies think they have to give in to men's demands, and the women who go along with it, are like the aunties who buy gifts for the bratty children to pacify them. This is not my analogy, it came from an elderly gay man I know and love dearly when I met him for our monthly gin fest a few weeks ago.

The irony of trans people criticizing gays for being focussed on genitals, and then having medical treatments and surgeries to give themselves the appearance of the opposite sex, is absolutely huge -- yet few people seem to notice it.

Jenny Ruth's Just the Business's avatar

Yep. They are the ones who talk about underpants inspections, not us sex realists.

I think the tide has turned a little. I think they have given up the idea that gay men can learn to love vaginas, and that Lesbians can learn to love penises. As a gay man who has always liked smaller men who are cute, a trans man can look very good to me. That makes me glad that my sexual days are over. If I were still going to bars looking to meet people, I would be terrified about what I might accidentally end up with.

I wish I believed the tide was turning in New Zealand, where I live, or in Australia. The second decision against Sall Grover in Tickle vs Giggle was devastating, even though I wasn’t surprised.

Canada sounds pretty all-in on genderwoo too. Of course, Terf Island is a shining light after last year’s UK Supreme Court decision that the word woman means biological woman.

Fantastic well-written article. I cannot believe how these people have got away with it for so long, abusing lesbians and gays AND calling them homophobic.

Jenny Ruth's Just the Business's avatar

We are awaiting a judgment from New Zealand’s Human Rights Review Tribunal on a case in which a group of lesbians were excluded from a Wellington Pride event because they refused to agree that a lesbian can have a penis.

To my mind, excluding lesbians from a Pride event is an obscenity

Vanishing Susan's avatar

Absolutely. I can’t wait for this ideology and its pathetic bullying adherents to get binned.

Institutions need to implement defenses to ward off takeovers. Founders probably should not give away any of their power to board members, for instance.

Thank you for writing this brilliant piece; I will share it with friends.

Narcissism, narcissism, narcissism. That's what the TQ+ is all about.

I've noticed a few things about them. Once they "transition", their transition becomes both their work and their hobby. It is all-consuming to them. They do their best to pass well. If they do, that's great because they can live their fantasy. If they don't pass well, then they expect other people to play along with their fantasy even if it is obviously untrue. If you don't play along, they get angry at you. They think you are a bigot if you won't acknowledge their right to live the fantasy because THEY ARE SUFFERING SO VERY MUCH. But that's the question -- how much are they really suffering? They would have us believe that it is more than any other people on the planet suffer. But there is no evidence that is true. It seems to be the lot of humankind that we all suffer, and it achieves nothing to compare one person's suffering to another's. If their suffering was so great, then they wouldn't be able to live for decades as the sex they don't want to be, and yet many of them do. I like to think that God doesn't burden us with more suffering than we can handle, and that there is a reason for our suffering.

In the meantime, forcing everyone to accommodate their fantasies is hurting other people, most notably women, children and gay people. Narcissism is, of course, all about selfishness. And that's what they are: Selfish, selfish, selfish. If there is collateral damage, that doesn't matter to them.

Beautiful writing.

The seeds were visible in the 60’s and 70’d if you ever read “transsexual” and “transgender” magazines ( they’re all digitized and online: I have perused them ), the dislike of gay men was voiced early and repetitively, while the Lesbian focus is basically straight men being denied a sex target, just not new at all.

It’s extremely rare for people to grasp that most male mimics are in fact heterosexual - as are most men.

You have heterosexual men who don’t like gays and want to have sex with lesbians.

Where have I heard this story before.

I will never forget that because of your eloquence, bravery, tenacity and personal sacrifice, so many of us retain the option of keeping our heads below the parapet. Every time we fail to speak out, rationally and intelligently, we are betraying those who sacrificed their careers and their own family life for the sake of others, not least humanity itself. This was never just about common sense.

Thank you for this excellent article. Lesbians don’t want to have sex with people with penises but they are told to even though they don’t want to - there’s a word for that. BUT don’t forget the gay youth being gaslit into thinking they are ‘trans’ and being sterilised, mutilated and having all sexual function removed. Some have dies from surgery complications. This is also an attack on - and arguable an attempt at eradication of - gay people.
