Haha! I was not very familiar with TF and I went to her blog....thought it was a parody at first. Could she abase herself any more?!

Is it not a parady then? I despair. . . :(

The blog is not a parody! The extract here *is* a parody, thank goodness 😅

I like Tara Flynn a lot - in every other context she's great but like so many others in the female writer/journo/performer cliques in Ireland, she's thrown her intelligence to the four winds where this issue is concerned. Why are so many falling over themselves to be so sycophantic - it's like an insane competition to be more-TRA-than-thou. To the point of some vicious woman-hating which they'd never tolerate in any other circumstance. Trans identified men are sure mining a rich seam of internalised self-hatred. It's going to take decades to recover from this insanity, so much damage is being done.

OMG her stuff is beyond parody: “please listen to trans people and their families. (Or any group about whom there is a campaign of “legitimate concerns”.)” So not cis women then.

Personal red flag - educate yourself = I did because I’m a brave, virtuous yet flawed person who isn’t a bigot like you scum who refuse to be educated and “corrected” therefore putting yourself beyond the pale of humanity.

“I’ve learned so much about my own ignorance and prejudice by just listening. I’m ashamed of it, but working on it. “And I thank them for educating me. I still get things wrong, but I’ve been grateful for kind – even funny – messages pointing things out and offering me the chance to correct my course. “

That’s enough for me today, can’t stomach any more TF.

Alarming to go to her blog and find that she really does write like that. Great work, Girl Afraid.

What an arse she is !

Very deep seated internalised misogyny there.

If people listened to Tara's advice and actually listened to trans people AND their families, we might get somewhere. We need to hear the wives and the children of men who tear families apart so they can "be their authentic selves" and the weeping parents longing for the children who've been convinced by the cult that loving concern is abuse. If we listened to the sinister use of suicidal ideation by those professing support for the vulnerable, kids who need to be HEARD not conscribed and commodified, we'd get somewhere. If people actually listened to the seething misogyny and callous disregard of others spouting from the people they are asked to enable, most would surely rebel. There's no listening involved, just the constant obsequious bleeting of the Taras. I guess it's easier to hear Flynn than the sobbing of mothers, the shuddering sighs of rape survivors, the aching regret of detransitioners or the shamefully revealing screeds of the porn-addled. I've been on my knees begging more than once to get people to actually fucking listen but they'd rather put their fingers in their ears for the serial rapists, the money hungry rabble and the Tara Flynns.

l'm going to link to/quote this whenever I see her bleating. I informed her months ago she's definitely not a feminist because they don’t centre men, but of course as I'm female my words vanished in front of her eyes like disappearing ink.

Yeah. She's something else, alright.

Just saw a comment on Shitter, Women are born, not worn. Haven't come across that before, it's pithy, I liked it.

Superb!

Is this for real? Or another Titania McGrath?

Tara Flynn is real. She doesn’t think it’s anybody’s business if women’s rights are being trampled on.

Very strange! Maybe it’s a super long-con where she will come out as parody after a while? I can only hope.
