Nutmeg's week
The ferrets! They're reversing!
We now appear to have entered the reverse ferreting phase of the ‘Trans Women Are Women’ era.
As the cultural tide shifts, Ash Sarkar, one of the UK’s biggest proponents of identity politics over the last decade. has conveniently decided that political correctness has gone too far. Chrystia Freeland, who in 2023 issued a travel warning to ‘2SLGBTQI+’ Canadians over Florida’s ban on child ‘sex changes,’ is now running for prime minister on the claim that she doesn’t “virtue signal’.
And then there’s comedian Katherine Ryan, who has suggested to Times Radio that she doesn’t like cancel culture and is pleased that edgy comedy is returning. Yet here she was in 2020 appearing in a video with the likes of Susie Green and Dawn Butler, saying that transvestite men should use women’s toilets and anyone who disagrees is a “weirdo who needs to be stopped”.
She was one of several comedians and celebrities who made videos to support ‘Trans Day Of Visibility 2020’. Others included Frankie Boyle, Stephen Fry and Jeremy Vine, but perhaps the most embarrassing video of them all featured BBC radio presenter John Robins, who cried, and took his top off, as he promoted a crowdfunder for a confused girl to have her healthy breasts removed.
A literal Get Out Of Jail free card
The Sentencing Council has issued new guidance for custodial prison sentences in England and Wales from next month, which states that a pre-sentence report must be written if the criminal, who would otherwise be jailed for a crime they have committed, meets at least one of a number of criteria, such as is ‘from a cultural minority’. The guidance adds: ‘Or if the court considers that ‘has disclosed they are transgender’ may apply’. The report could then be used to ensure the criminal does not go to jail.
The justice secretary, Shabana Mahmood, has said she doesn’t agree with these changes but they are nothing to do with her. The shadow justice secretary, Robert Jenrick, claims a representative of hers was at the meeting when they were agreed and did not raise an objection, and he states that the government should intervene to stop this guidance from being introduced.
How Newcastle United, the Premier League and Northumbria Police conspired to harass a lesbian football fan
The shocking and disturbing story of Newcastle United fan Linzi Smith’s alleged victimisation by the club took another turn this week when she received an apology from Northumbria Police for their part in her harassment.
Linzi was banned from attending matches for almost three seasons by Newcastle United after she was investigated by the club and a secret intelligence agency working within the Premier League. This agency seems to exist to spy on football fans and pass information about their political views on to football clubs, which can then hand out bans.
Newcastle fan Linzi, who is also gay, was placed under investigation after a complaint by someone close to the club. This complaint centred around Linzi’s (entirely lawful) gender critical tweets, which expressed concern about the homophobia inherent in transgenderism and stated that ‘trans women are men’. The club escalated their campaign against her by bringing in the shadowy intelligence department of the Premier League, which produced a large dossier on her, including information on where she lived, worked and even walked her dog.
Linzi was referred to as ‘the target’ in this dossier, which seems to have been handed over to Northumbria Police, which investigated Linzi under hate crime legislation.
Northumbria Police has now apologised to Linzi following a review of its handling of the investigation, citing multiple failings, including unjustifiably retaining her personal data, conducting a disproportionate investigation, and failing to close the case promptly after determining no crime had occurred.
Fair Cop, which has been working with Linzi to expose her treatment by the police, claims that at least ten officers, along with a superintendent and a detective inspector, conspired to investigate her. They allege that the investigation fabricated a victim to justify the extreme measures taken. The officers involved are named here..
Linzi does not accept the police’s apology and, with Harry Miller of Fair Cop, has been carrying out direct action including handcuffing herself to Northumbria Police headquarters.
How are you feeling, Darlington?
Like Dr. Upton in Fife, another man has lost his right to anonymity in an upcoming tribunal—one triggered by nurses who should never have been put in a position where such bravery was required.
The Darlington nurses are eight women who were told they must be ‘inclusive’ of a male operating department practitioner in their changing room.
The man, who pretends to be a woman called Rose Henderson, claimed he needed anonymity to avoid ‘hostile online comments’. In opposition to his request for anonymity, the nurses spoke of ‘Rose’s’ intimidating presence in the changing rooms and around the hospital. One of the nurses, who experienced childhood sexual abuse, even had panic attacks after being asked repeatedly by ‘Rose’ whether she was ‘getting changed yet.’
When their distress and discomfort was raised with HR, the nurses were told to ‘broaden their mindsets’ and ‘compromise’.
Judge Langridge concluded there was no evidence of a specific threat to ‘Rose’ should proceedings be held in public. Judge Langridge added that Henderson's statements about the danger if anonymity was not granted were 'unsupported by anything concrete at all.'"
The reason ‘Rose’ wants to keep his name out of the papers may have been discovered as a result of this hearing. His father, Dale Henderson, a nurse, has just been suspended by the Nursing and Midwifery Council as he awaits trial for multiple child sexual abuse charges.
Dale Henderson’s trial and the Darlington nurses’ tribunal are both scheduled for June. The Darlington nurses have set up their own union to protect women in the workplace who are not supported by the traditional unions.
Caught in a Webberley of lies
Helen Webberley, the founder of online clinic GenderGP, which sells puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to children, appeared on Times Radio this week, interviewed by Andrew Neil.
It’s rare to see a journalist subject a doctor who makes money from ‘transitioning’ children to such a forensic interrogation. Neil had clearly researched the topic and challenged her relentlessly on her claims. The final two minutes of the interview are explosive and can be heard here. You can see why the BBC refused to recommission his interview show in 2020.
Speaking of his former employer
The BBC is currently recruiting for a ‘Head of Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging.’ The salary is up to £125,000, and one of the benefits of the job is ‘hybrid working’.
It’s hard to imagine how the BBC could possibly get more diverse and inclusive (which, of course, means employing more cross-dressing men and having them featured in even more output) when, for example, here’s an episode of Casualty, which aired in 2021 but was uploaded to YouTube by ‘BBC Casualty’ this week, in which a celebration of trans people being “who we are” is broken up by violent bigots, who throw acid in one chap’s face. (Sidenote - victims of acid attacks are disproportionately women.)
Fortunately, it was an accurate portrayal of an acid attack because, like all victims, all he cares about is if his breasts will be OK. And when he finds out they might not be, we’re subjected to a tantrum about how important his breasts are, with the suggestion that the public should be funding this necessary work.
Meanwhile, the corporation published its 13th article about a drag queen almost no-one had heard of who died two months ago. These have been written by at least 10 different reporters.
BBC Radio 4’s Free Thinking had Sophie Grace Chappell on to discuss the importance of saying the truth so that we know what reality is when it comes to the war in Ukraine. He said it is vital not to lie, but then adds that he’s a woman and always knew he was a girl.
Chappell is most famous for stating it “would not matter “ if there was a spike in female murder rates as a result of self ID.
BBC World’s Weekend show also talked about Ukraine. But they managed to get it out of the way quickly so they could cover something equally pressing: How society can ensure more people who call themselves ‘non-binary’ win more awards for acting.
The BBC is also calling for more people to volunteer to become magistrates. They’ve therefore spoken to … a cross-dressing man. He says: “I’ve never had a problem in court. I have had one advocate misgender me but I corrected him.”
And finally
Want to know what it’s like for a drag queen to live on a farm in Herefordshire?
Thanks to BBC Sounds, you can now find out! He has ‘feminine thought processes’, don’tcha know!?
See you next week!

Thanks Nutmeg. It’s time the BBC was classified as a political activist group with particular expertise in drag and indoctrination.
I wish Andrew Neil (and others) would start asking everyone where all the ‘trans’ children were before 2015 and where were all the suicides. It’s not long ago, why is there a total blind spot? I’d love to see that become the next big question just like ‘can a woman have a penis?’
Thank you! The John Robbins video interests me as in 2020 he was in the middle of some personal problems (spoken about frequently on his podcast with Elis James and other places) and he does look a right mess. I always knew he was a virtue-signalling-be-kinder but not how little he understands and thinks of women.
'Rose' and family are very Challenor-esque.
