I started being aware when my father stopped watching ABC. He's stalwart,

intelligent, wise- a country rural Australian who relied on ABC and on BBC's international radio broadcasts when he worked internationally.

About 10 years ago he would get angry...' it's all claptrap now.. ' Then he slowly stopped watching abc, stopped listening to Radio National- amazing- because he only ever accessed ABC/BBC solely. Never commercial TV, like he does now.

I REALLY saw it in dealing with kids going through online learning... given laptops at school about 5-8 years ago, then seeing the alarming changes in them that followed over the next 5 or so years.

My eyes were then opened to this creeping ideology. And I saw it clearly in the ABC. Last week on almost 70% of the programs I saw/ listened to.

I work in medicine.... can't believe my colleagues have no access anywhere to this twaddle, and yet they all frown down on me with their 'us and them' looks, while they place me in a box I used to reserve for misogynists and DVO violators.

No doubt have quashed and swallowed their mild feelings of discomfort, at seeing or hearing something on 'Auntie' that grated or alarmed deep inside them. Intuition pushed aside because of the trusted source. No questioning needed.

Your analogy is perfect, and thank you for sharing where part of this, at least, comes from.

This is a brilliant speech; the damage following the Earl Grey and aquarium jollies back in 2013 as you point out, concerns what the Beeb swept under the carpet henceforward, e.g. the release of the WPATH files, but also every scandal that's unfolded with Stonewall, Mermaids, etc, and also the ideological claptrap they're both subtly and overtly pushing on every platform, including radio.
