Great response. What's the three phases of TRA arguments? 1. This never happens 2. This might occasionally happen but it's so rare it's not worth talking about. 3. Shut up and die, Terf. Jesse and Katie are firmly at number two and they've had a lot of support because compared to the rest of the transactivists at number 3, they seemed reasonable. No more.

Especially unimpressed with Jesse saying the evidence for puberty blockers is extremely weak YET he still believes they're a useful treatment for children with dysphoria. Based on what? As you, Arty and Helen have said, this is a faith based movement.

Unbelievable that they have the nerve to post a link to your article whilst recommending people not to read it!

Then again, the US 'left' always did think that 'puffing but not inhaling' was an idea you could sell.

Ah yes, threats of rape are expression, but misgendering is violence.

This is weird in the New York Times. An article that's ostensibly about writers threatening to leave Substack because of Graham that deliberately doesn't name him and quotes Jesse Singal instead. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/11/business/media/substack-newsletter-competition.html?action=click&module=Top%20Stories&pgtype=Homepage

is this true??!! "I know that's currently big over there in the land of the free, but here, in England (and increasingly in Scotland, Ireland and Wales) we don't observe your luxury beliefs or the taboos arising from them." this made me so happy to read, i thought everyone everywhere was being hit over the head with the pronoun compulsion frying pan. I'm elated to think that it isn't happening over there, you guys are a few years ahead of the US so maybe it will fade out here soon.

I don't know how they dare call themselves journalists, they are fence sitting mealy mouthed cowardly shits. Actual journalists seek out difficult stories, they don't avoid them & they don't try to shut down other people talking about them, or collude with lying delusional fantasists doing the same thing.

Hopefully it won't be the last word. You possibly won't appreciate the comparison but it's a similar scenario to Piers Morgan and Meghan Markle.

He gets vilified for "banging on" about her but I understand completely. If you feel you've been wronged by somebody it bothers you. I always bang on if I think I've been played; it's all about personal perception.

So please. Feel free to "bang on" at your discretion 😉 It's actually a new gender (pun intended) of education : Rantucation! 😜

Is "Bill Trevor" a random pseudonym or does it have some special meaning?

Very weird that Jesse would ask readers not to click through to read your article!

The "substack is evil" story was featured on The Hill YouTube Channe). You can see Graham's name in the screenshot from an article by Jude Ellison Doyle that alleges "anti-trans content". The presenters focus the discussion on Jesse Singal and Andrew Sullivan, both also named, and conclude that this is a case of MSM drumming up unfair criticism of substack in order to undermine a commercial rival. They seem not to "get" the trans Cancel Culture angle:

"Zaid Jilani: Controversy Around Substack EXPLAINED"

https://youtu.be/NKB41fZI7fY

Andrew Sullivan is getting a pasting on Twitter for trying to propose a "compromise" to the conflict between trans rights and women's rights plus issues around children's safeguarding. His ideas are very similar to what we already have in the UK, so please nobody. Women are expressing their displeasure in reasoned responses or simple rejection but the hyperbolic, venomous reactions of trans activists are a sight to see!

One more well-meaning journalist waking up to the scorched earth policy of trans rights activism?
