David Paisley continues to harass women and gay people

David Paisley is currently trying to get a meeting for LGB people cancelled because he thinks straight people should be allowed to attend.

On one of the very few occasions he wasn’t going after either a woman or a gay person, he gloated about Harry Miller leaving Fair Cop.

Harry of Fair Cop is a conservative-leaning ex-policeman with an internal editor perpetually on holiday and a robust sense of right and wrong. I would take a bullet for him, and so would everyone else in Fair Cop. Paisley, meanwhile, is an attention-seeking misogynist troll who is enjoying a brief spell of power.

The reason he is currently trying to get Eventbrite to cancel the LGB Alliance events is the same reason he has tried to shut down all discussion of his previous behaviour. He knows that every time someone sees the entirely reasonable men and women behind the LGB Alliance, the time creeps closer when he will be revealed as the bullying coward that he is.

Amnesty Ireland have responded to criticism of their recent disgraceful actions with an astonishing, craven display on their Twitter feed. Get a load of this.

Presuming he’s behind the statement, Colm O'Gorman is really scrambling here. He knows he’s messed up badly, but like David Paisley, he has no choice but to continue bluffing. If their latest statement is anything except a face-saving lie, then they will issue a further one saying that they support the right to free speech of LGB Alliance Ireland and The Countess Didn’t Fight For this.

Of course, they won’t do anything of the kind, and will continue to behave as if LGB Ireland are illegitimate because they are fighting homophobia like this, which Amnesty refuse to admit even exists. But then again, that’s what turning off replies is for.
