Good for him. Better late than never ,I suppose. Still can't understand how any normal person ever believed or supported this nonsense at all. I'm just an ordinary person but I " peaked " instantly as soon as I heard about it ,roughly 3 years ago. It wasn't difficult. The misogyny was obvious and you would need to be blind ,deaf and daft not to see that. It's only become much more obvious as time has passed ,especially the dangers to children ,both from paedophiles and the " medical " professionals !!πŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Ž

It's good, but he hasn't quite got it. The people he should be addressing are not the revolting students, but the colleagues of Docstockk who allowed and encouraged her persecution. "Why do you work in a university? Did you not understand what a university is for?" might be a better question.

I'm not a fan of Dawkins, but Dawkins has many, many fans, and this early Christmas is an early Christmas for all of us. He is a huge name, and one that is taken seriously by millions. This is a great boost for the GC movement and about time, too!

Say it like it is. Whatever his previous faults, I welcome him on our side of the fence because he'll shut a few idiots up.

Universities don't understand what they're for anymore!

Excellent. Now I’d like to see a debate between Dawkins and Dillahunty.

Great to have a big name on board, but remember the push has been kept going by a lot of people, big and small. It's a tiring and sometimes deflating fight but well done for staying in it! It is us holding the line that allows the debate to happen, challenging politicians and institutions, writing letters, attending marches, funding those whose livelihood is under threat. It's far from over but we keep going, knowing that we are fighting for what is good.

You know, I'd like to think that in some small way my lengthy, slightly sanctimonious letter (wherein I compared his timidity to how I believe Hitchens would have reacted to the Trans horseshit), sent 2 years ago, contributed to this turnaround.

Succinct and exact !

So why do I feel permanently shocked that my logic, my reasoning, my intellect is out of step with the aliens, who live on the other side of the glass ?

I remember when the subject was broached with Richard a couple of years ago (at least) - he was very prickly and defensive, really not wanting to enter the debate.

If it took a sceptic like him so long to see what was going on, perhaps we shouldn't be surprised that many others without his professionally-developed critical facilities aren't wise to it, either.

It also shows how effective the books by Helen and Kathleen are at presenting the argument clearly. Wow a few MPs who acutely read their free copy of 'Trans' have formed opinions from doing so. These decision makers are often very under informed on the issue.

There were about 200 comments underneath, including some people genuinely asking how to start understanding the subject and the issues.

I replied: Do some research on gender-critical thinking and Prof Kathleen Stock's speeches for A Woman's Place UK. And just borrow the book and read it. A sustained piece of thinking is worth 1000s of years on Twitter.

Heard in the US.

"Atheist and biologist Richard Dawkins signed a declaration in favor of "sex-based rights," giving the movement an unexpected ally.

Dawkins urged his followers on Monday to sign the declaration, which includes a call to oppose providing gender reassignment surgery and puberty blockers to children and teenagers, "re-affirms women and girls' sex-based rights, and challenges the discrimination we experience from the replacement of the category of sex with that of 'gender identity,'" according to its website."

I'm just looking forward to Dawkins being dismissed by TRA's as a religious bigot.

(Well they had a go at Dave Chappelle for using "white privilege" so anything goes).
