A Week in the War on Women: Monday 12th September - Sunday 18th September GOOD NEWS SUPPLEMENT
This week’s edition of The Good News Supplement is dedicated to Kate Harris and Bev Jackson, the absolute warrior women of the LGB Alliance.
The case brought against them and the Charity Commission by Mermaids was part heard in court last week. This may not seem like good news. But those following the proceedings (huge thanks to the sterling work of the excellent @tribunaltweets) will have seen the Mermaids witnesses doing our job for us, making painfully and irrefutably obvious that the gender movement is characterised by homophobia, misogyny, and a shockingly cavalier attitude towards the wellbeing of children.
Kate and Bev, of course, were absolute models of strength, courage and humanity. As they’ve always done, they defended the rights of LGB people with dignity, compassion and eloquence. Much love, respect and solidarity to them both.
Kate Harris:
“The word lesbian is taken. The word is taken by us. I’m going to speak for millions of lesbians around the world who are lesbians because we love other women. We will mot have that stolen from us. We will not be erased and we will not have any man with a penis tell us he’s a lesbian because he feels he is.”
The case continues on 7th November and we wish Kate and Bev all the very best.
Women Won’t Wheesht Down Under
Hosts of the podcast TERF Talk Down Under, the marvellous Ange and Stassja, were at the forefront of a women’s rally in Melbourne at the weekend.
It was a glorious show of feminist strength to protest the housing of male inmates in female prisons in the Australian state of Victoria.
After the rally, they demonstrated their support for JK Rowling outside the Princess Theatre at which Harry Potter & the Cursed Child is currently being staged.
Brava and all solidarity to you, sisters. (To learn more about ‘the resistance’ in Australia and New Zealand, check out the Coalition for Biological Reality.)
Women Won’t Wheesht In Brighton
Despite the best efforts of the Milky Bar Militia, the Standing For Women event in Brighton was a huge success with hundreds in attendance.
It’s In The Can
Jennifer Lahl’s documentary film, The Detransition Diaries, is now finished and about to be released.
The film recounts the stories of three detransitioned young women and features interviews with commentators such as Standing For Women’s Kellie-Jay Keen, The Post Millennial’s editor, Libby Emmons, and author, Natasha Chart.
Look out for it on Vimeo very soon.
A Law Unto Themselves
In the US, a new law firm has been set up to specifically to defend sex-based and LGB rights and protect children from the harms of gender identity ideology.
“Jackson Bone LLP provides impact litigation, policy consultation, legal advice, lobbying, and cross-partisan advocacy. Jackson Bone has a particular interest in protecting sex-based rights and civil liberties.”
See You In Court
Gillian Philip, children’s author turned HGV driving queen, has won the right to appeal her case against her former publishers.
Gillian brought an Employment Tribunal claim against publishers Working Partners and HarperCollins, arguing that she was unlawfully discriminated against when her contract was terminated over her gender critical views.
Gillian narrowly lost the preliminary hearing. However, permission has now been granted to bring her case to the Employment Appeal Tribunal. She will now have the opportunity to persuade a superior court of record that she is entitled to the protections of the Equality Act 2010.
We wish her every success in pursuing this case.
Date For Your Diary
The new date for the rearranged Women’s Rally in Scotland is Thursday 6th October at Holyrood 11.15am - 11.30am.

Thank you for this report, as always.
We're still waiting to hear the judgement but it has been fairly big news so far and Mermaids haven't exactly covered themselves in glory. I do hope the LGB Alliance will win but I'm still reminded of Keira Bell who, despite losing her case on appeal, still made waves around Europe and did contribute to the Tavistock downfall so I'll try not to despair if they lose.
Women's rights crowds are getting bigger and bigger it seems, it's lovely to see. Nice day for it too.
Lovely pet videos, as ever. As the owner of 26 cats, I've often seen this drama queen behaviour, but the dog clip was even more adorable.
That little faker kitty is clever and adorable. UNLIKE the fake ‘transwomen’ claiming to be ‘hurt’ if they are not allowed access to women’s single sex spaces. Sorry about that — couldn’t resist making everything about ‘trans’ violations, haha. Obviously missing my twitter venting.
