Monday 1st March - A Room Of One’s Own
THE DAILY MAIL: A 21 year old student who made indecent videos of women has been spared a prison sentence.
Doyum Kim secretly filmed women in various locations around Manchester University. He was caught after hiding a mobile phone in a communal bathroom at college accommodation on campus. A female student discovered the phone recording her as she was about to take a shower.
This is why ‘gender neutral’ spaces just don’t work for women. Because, men.
Tuesday 2nd March - These Are Not Women’s Crimes
WILTSHIRE999S: A trans identified male sex offender banned from owning internet-enabled devices has been caught in possession of one.
Alex Smith is a trans identified male formerly known as Matthew Burren. When still a minor he served a custodial sentence for sexually assaulting a five-year-old child. In 2011, then aged eighteen, he was given a community order after being found in possession of sexualised images of children. Four years later he was found, yet again, with prohibited child images and had been contacting children online.
In 2019 he admitted breaching his sexual harm prevention order after it was discovered he’d accessed pornographic websites. At the time he claimed to be ‘transitioning to female’ and managed to avoid a custodial sentence.
This latest news story still describes him as ‘transitioning to female’ and refers to him with female pronouns. District judge Joanna Dickens bailed Smith without conditions. She told him, “Obviously people have concerns about you, but I’m going to take a chance”.
Another story in the news this week was of convicted murderer, David Andrew Hunnisett (often referred to in the media as Christopher Hunnisett), losing his appeal.
In 2011 Hunnisett strangled and bludgeoned to death 57 year old Peter Bick. This murder came just months after his release from prison for causing the death of an 81-year-old vicar with whom he had been lodging.
Hunnisett began ‘identifying as a woman’ in prison five years ago and calls himself Crystal. In reporting on his failed appeal, media outlets, including the BBC and the Evening Standard, refer to him with female pronouns. As does the court transcript.
One sentence in this transcript seems significant. “In Dr Higgins’ view the appellant remains an exceptional risk, possibly more so if she were ever successful in pursing gender reassignment, which Dr Higgins is concerned is an attempt to transfer to female services.”
Aren’t we constantly told by the self ID crowd that this is something that never happens, could never happen and will never happen?

The controversial Hate Crime Bill is about to be passed into law in Scotland. Under this legislation men who dress as women will have far better protection that actual women and discussing women’s sex based rights could come with a prison sentence.
After two key amendments to the bill were withdrawn, Justice Minister, Humza Yousaf, said he took the decision after meeting with ‘stakeholders’.
ForWomen.Scot made a Freedom of Information request and discovered that only one ‘stakeholder’ was consulted; Equality Network / Scottish Trans Alliance.
“This bill touches the lives and freedom of so many in Scotland, yet no one else was granted an audience. No one else had the power to force not just ministers but opposition MSPs to withdraw carefully considered amendments at the last minute. Who governs this country? Elected MSPs or lobby groups?”
Wednesday 3rd March - Within These Walls
THE TELEGRAPH: A female prisoner has mounted a legal challenge to the Ministry of Justice's policy of placing trans-identified males in women’s prisons.
The woman, known as FDJ, began legal action after she was sexually assaulted by a male inmate while in prison. The inmate had been convicted of ‘serious sexual offences’ but was being held in the general population of a women's prison.
FDJ’s argument is that accommodating trans-identified males in the female estate exposes female prisoners to a greatly increased risk of sexual assault. Her barrister, Karon Monaghan QC, cited Ministry of Justice statistics that in 2017 there were 125 trans prisoners, 60 of whom were serving sentences for sexual offences. She also pointed out that between 2016 and 2020, there were seven sexual assaults committed against females in women's prisons by trans identified males.
Under current legislation, transwomen who have a gender recognition certificate are not obliged to notify authorities. The government’s own barrister, Sarah Hannett, told the court that there is no centralised information regarding prisoners with a GRC. “It is entirely possible that there are individuals with a GRC that the prison system doesn’t know about. Unless they choose to disclose that fact, and they are under no obligation to, we simply may not know about them.”
The case concluded on Wednesday and Lord Justice Holroyde and Mr Justice Swift will reserve judgment to a later date.
Meanwhile, you may be wondering who made the appalling decision to house sexually violent males in female prisons? Well, one of those responsible was Gordon Pike, now a convicted sex offender.
Thursday 4th March - No Female Erasing Language. Period.
Clue is a period tracking app which, according to its own hype, is ‘Backed by science’. Not the sort of ‘science’ that recognises reproductive biology, apparently.
On Thursday Clue tweeted that “Not all people who menstruate are women” and encouraged its 20k+ followers to ‘shift culturally normative views’ and use the term ‘people with periods’.
Then they emailed customers, dedicating this month’s newsletter to the ‘trans community’ and issuing instructions on how to ‘Be an ally to trans people everywhere’.
They want users to ‘Campaign for all-gender restrooms’.
And there was yet more language policing.
Quick question for Clue. Sorry to make it a ‘gender thing’, but how many men have died in menstruation huts?
Friday 5th March - Labour (Still) Losing Women
A thread on Mumsnet indicates that the Labour Party is altering membership details to ascribe a ‘gender identity’ to members who never agreed to one.
One user wrote, “They have changed the ‘sex’ section, to which I had selected female to ‘gender identity’… I don’t have a ‘gender identity’”. Another commented, “I have just checked this out. They have also given me a gender identity of female. My sex is female and I do not have a gender identity”.
The Labour Party is not only secretly signing women up to an ideology to which they probably don’t ascribe, but to one which harms them and removes their rights.

THE IRISH TIMES: A children’s hospital in Dublin has been given a green light to continue prescribing puberty blockers to children.
The psychological services for Children’s Health Ireland at Dublin’s Crumlin Hospital are provided by the Tavistock & Portman clinic. 85 children and teenagers have been referred to the service in the last two years alone.
Following the High Court ruling in the Keira Bell case, Dr Phillip Crowley of Ireland’s Health Service Executive consulted solicitors at the State Claims Agency, the organisation which handles high-value damages cases taken against public bodies.
A ‘comfort letter’ was subsequently issued by the HSE’s chief clinical officer to Crumlin Hospital. (A ‘comfort letter’ is a business document intended to assure the recipient that a financial or contractual obligation with another party can be met.) It states that the hospital will continue to be indemnified in the administering of puberty blockers to minors.
In effect, it allows children in Ireland to be treated with drugs which the High Court ruled can no longer be prescribed to children in England and Wales because they are ‘experimental’ and little is known about their long term side effects.
Saturday 6th March - Stonewall’s Protection Racket
LESBIAN & GAY NEWS: Barrister, Allison Bailey, has made public Stonewall’s accusations about her.
Allison Bailey is a criminal defence barrister, feminist, lesbian and lifelong campaigner for racial equality and LGB rights. She co-founded the LGB Alliance in order to uphold the rights of those same-sex attracted and to challenge Stonewall's all-pervading influence in UK public life.
Stonewall retaliated by trying to intimidate her into silence and putting pressure on her employer to remove her from chambers.
Anyone labouring under the misapprehension that Stonewall still represents the interests of gay and lesbian people and is anything other than a trans lobby group, should read their complaint to Bailey’s chambers. And then read her rebuttal.
If you’d like to contribute to the costs of Allison Bailey’s legal action against Stonewall, you can find her Crowdfunder here.

Over the last few months we’ve reported on the unfolding saga of the ONS and the National Census’ ‘sex question’.
The census will allow people to effectively record their self-declared gender identity instead of their legal sex, thus affecting vital data needed to protect women’s sex-based rights and spaces. Furthermore, there is evidence to suggest ONS civil servants caved into pressure from trans lobby groups and launched the survey a month early in an attempt to out-run FPFW’s legal challenge.
And would you just look who the ONS has buddied up with over this.
Sunday 7th March - Scottish Women Take Action
THE SCOTSMAN: A Scottish feminist group has drawn up a manifesto to ensure parties uphold women’s sex based rights in the next parliament.
Women Speak Scotland says that whichever party wins the election and forms the next Scottish government, it must commit to upholding women’s sex based rights. The group is launching its “Manifesto for Women’s Rights in Scotland” on Monday 8th March, International Women’s Day.
A spokeswoman for Women Speak Scotland said: “Women have been fighting for our rights for over 100 years, but now we are facing a serious backlash. We are seeing the advances we’ve made being watered down or removed… We intend to make sure that women's rights and concerns are not ignored during this election, nor by the incoming government.”
Also Today - Green Party (Still) Losing Women
This weekend’s Green Party Conference voted in support of Self ID and against women’s sex based rights. Motion E01 sought to introduce a section to Green Party policy to uphold women’s sex-based rights, arguing that women are discriminated against because of their biological sex. It was defeated by 289 votes to 232.
Co-leader Sian Berry celebrated the failure of this motion, ‘having a big old cry’ over the party’s abandonment of women’s rights.
Under his Green eye.
See you next week.
Another fantastic summary. One minor thing - I had assumed Sian was talking about herself having a big old cry, with happiness, at the party being 'inclusive'
Not surprised that Labour are effectively "misgendering" women by implying they don't have a sex but then apply a "gender" without permission. Of course, they can't even get my actual name right either. They have an option that one can declare a name one is known by. Twice I've complained they have not used this in emails and so far all I've heard is **crickets-chirping**.
